At home tooth whitening

This treatment consists of making some trays that are constructed especially to fit your mouth. The tooth whitening solution is placed in the trays by you each evening and worn overnight for a period of up to 6 weeks and possibly 3 months to achieve a good result.


The cost of a home whitening kit (to include the trays and up to 6 weeks supply of whitening gel) from £360.00

Additional whitening can be purchased at an additional cost of £75 for 4 syringes.

  • What is it?

    This is a procedure to lighten the colour of natural tooth structure.  It does not affect the colour of crowns or existing fillings.

  • What causes my teeth to discolour?

    There are many causes to tooth discolouration.  These include drinking coffee, tea and red wine, smoking and also ageing.

  • How long does the whitening effect last?

    The whitening effect will last for several years but may dim a little with time.  This happens to a greater extent the more tea, coffee and red wine you consume and if you are a smoker.  The effect can easily be re-lifted using some top up whitening in the future.

  • Are there any side affects?

    Tooth whitening can cause various degrees of sensitivity.  These can be minimized by correct choice of treatment and after care with de-sensitising agents.  It is not suitable for every patient.
